OPTIONS FOR THOSE CHALLENGED BY DISEASE OR DISABILITY:

When conflict arises, you have several choices regarding how to proceed.

LITIGATION

This process focuses on winning and losing.  It allows a third-party, with limited information, to determine the outcome of your dispute.   It is expensive, time consuming, and, at times, necessary.

CARE COORDINATION

This process focuses on resource education,
care plan development, and communication.  It uses a multi-disciplinary approach to coordinating resources for care.

SUPPORTED DECISIONS

This process focuses on identifying, recognizing an maintaining an elderly or disabled individual's support community.  This allows the supported individual to continue practicing decision-making.

MEDIATION

The different types of mediation all involve a confidential process conducted by a trained neutral.  Parties have an opportunity participate in customizing a solution to their dispute.
